What is a digital counterpart?
Every physical piece is made by hand, one at a time. No two are identical —
the stones differ, the swirls differ, the way the light catches differs.
When you buy one, the piece you bought is recorded as a
digital counterpart — tied to your purchase, not a generic token
handed to everyone who viewed the product.
Where a piece is made only once, its counterpart is one of a kind as
well. Where several were made, yours is still yours — recorded to your
account and your purchase.
Where you can use it
- On your MITD character, in any game connected to the MITD network.
- On your profile avatar.
- In your purchase log, as a permanent record of what you own.
Coming soon. These features are still being built. Purchases made
now are recorded, so your counterparts are waiting for you when the
features arrive — you do not need to buy again later.
Can I give one away?
Counterparts stay with the account that bought them — they cannot be sold
or handed to another member on their own. If an entire account is
transferred, everything in it goes along, counterparts included.
Digital counterparts are governed by the
Digital Items Terms,
which form part of the MITD account agreement.
What is an MITD character?
MITD is a network of connected realities — games, events, and spaces that
share one identity. Your character is that identity: the thing that
carries your level, your items, and your history from one reality to the
next.
A keychain bought at a booth is not just a keychain. It is an item your
character can carry, in whichever reality you are in.
Do I need an account?
No. You can buy anything in this store without one. An account is what lets
you keep the digital side: without it, the physical piece is yours
and the counterpart has nowhere to live.
You can create one after buying and your purchase will be attached to it.
